One of our class bulletin boards allows students to use conversation sticky notes to express what they are feeling/thinking that day.

An activity we did on the first few days of school was to create a "finger-print tree." Each student dipped their thumb print in paint and created the leaves of our teaching tree. This tree will hang in room 301 for years to come.
