What Every Teacher Intern Needs

The GEHS Teacher Interns got ready to leave and being their internship this week. Both of them received an “Internship Start Up” Kit to help make sure they are successful and have all the materials and supplies that are essential to being a teacher and working with students.

            Their Kit Included

-          A clipboard to store papers

-          Sharpie for grading

-          Extra gum for going the Extra Mile with their students

-          A Sticky Note Lined pad to take notes

-          Teaching Lanyard for their Official USD 231 Teacher Intern Id

-          Payday, because all their hard work is about to pay off

Teacher Interns also received a Blazer Blue “Cardi” with embroidered GE and Teacher Intern. Dressing professionally is one of the requirements for this course.  Students are representing not only GEHS and the Teacher Training Pathway, but gaining practice and skills someone in the teaching profession will use.

Spring 2014 Gardner Edgerton Teaching Interns

Mr. Tyler
   Tyler is a senior and is planning on attending Emporia State next year and would like to become a Science Teacher.  He is interested in biology and physical science. Tyler will be interning with Mrs. Long from Madison Elementary.

Miss Sarbryna

     Sabryna is a senior and is planning on attending Emporia State next year and would like to become an Elementary School Teacher. Sabryna loves reading and has already begun read a louds at her internship. Sabryna is interning with Mrs. Long from Edgerton Elementary.
